This municipality includes the
villages: Jesús, Sant Carles de
Peralta (San Carlos),
Santa Eulària des Riu (Santa Eulalia),
Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera and Puig d’en Valls.
The main town, Santa Eulalia, has a large
marina, a long promenade
and a beautiful long beach in the center.
The only river (riu) of Ibiza runs here, and gave the area its name.
Various interesting, historical places are found here, such as: Es Puig
de Missa (sixteenth-century fortified church), the churches of Jesus
(fifteenth century) and Santa Gertrudis (eighteenth-century
altarpiece), Sant Carles (s’Argamassa aqueduct I century).
The beautiful beaches of Cala Boix, Cala Llenya, Cala Llonga, Cala
Martina, Cala Pada, Cala Mastella, Cala Nova, Aigüa Blanca and
S’Estanyol not only offer sun, sea & relaxation but they are all
home to one or more chiringuitos or stylish beach restaurants.
